The Forest Theater is an outdoor stage with ideal acoustics, situated close to the heart of downtown Carmel. This publicly owned natural amphitheater was built close to a century ago and is up kept by the city of Carmel. Everything from performance art and live music to films are viewed in this outdoor venue. Guests are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a picnic or snacks.
This multi-purpose facility houses art exhibits, music concerts, intimate theater productions and special interactive exhibitions. Established in 1949 as a cultural center to support experimental fine arts and science, the Carl Cherry Center is best known today for its Jeanne D'Orge collection, visiting exhibits, speakers and wide array of theater productions. Gallery hours are from 11 am.-4pm. Monday to Friday or by appointment.
The Golden Bough Theater is home of the Pacific Repertory Theater Organization. Visitors to this venue can expect to see performing arts and live music, entertaining audiences with shows such as A Streetcar Named Desire and The Buddy Holly Story.
This center is an art and cultural venue and has been in the business for over seven decades. The center's mission is to develop, provide, support and encourage an appreciation for the performing arts for all ages. Volunteer opportunities exist for those who are compelled to take and interest. As well, the center can be rented out by the room or theater for meetings, weddings or other private functions.
